Design of the StartUp - Tech - Tend

The Design of the Startup series was videoed and provides a unique first-hand account from New Zealand design companies and their experiences working with StartUps.

In the quest to define value, designers and StartUps often find themselves asking the same question: What problem are we solving?

This shared understanding makes sense – design thinking and doing are actually baked into the DNA of StartUps.

According to research conducted with health professionals and quoted by Josh Robb, two out of three consultations about a new ailment do not require the patient to be physically in the same room as the doctor. It is at this particular juncture where Tend are hoping to wedge their app and medical services giving both consumers and healthcare staff the ability and comfort of making that first assessment virtually.
In this video, Josh and Jasmine discuss the design challenges of operating at the intersection between innovation and compliance in a highly regulated industry.
