Design of the StartUp Product - Video - Earshots

The Design of the Startup series was videoed and provides a unique first-hand account from New Zealand design companies and their experiences working with StartUps.

In the quest to define value, designers and StartUps often find themselves asking the same question: What problem are we solving?

This shared understanding makes sense – design thinking and doing are actually baked into the DNA of StartUps.

James Bell-Booth

From childhood, James was always surrounded by family members who were always discussing ideas. This, followed by teenage years full of what he calls “many obsessions” (tennis, music, youth work) set him on a path of problem solving in a variety of industries. In this video he chats about his background and briefly discusses his founding of Sprout, a successful incubator for agri-tech businesses and his latest: Earshot, a highly specialised earphone company for cyclists and trail runners.

Thank you to Warren & Mahoney for the venue
