James Carnie, HonDINZ, has served DINZ and our Design Community, supporting us for more than 20 years.
James leaves a lasting legacy in our industry.
James has helped Members navigate legal issues under our Legal Complimentary Consults; crafted Member Contract suites to help Designers practice professionally, and, acted on behalf of many studios over the many years.
James' openness helped integrate Tikanga into our new Constitution, that gives pride and mana for our Community.
The Institute Board's consider it an honour to have worked wIth James and benefited from his sage governance advice over the 20 years.

James is leaving legal practice to pursue a new chapter outside of the law industry.
James is now handing on the torch to Anna Ryan who will be taking over as legal advisor and Honorary solicitor for DINZ.
Anna, a Corporate Partner at Lane Neave Lawyers, is an intellectual property and commercial lawyer, heading up the firm's intellectual property service.
With over 20 years’ experience, she provides strategic and commercially focused advice across all aspects of intellectual property, commercial contracting and fair trading.
Anna has been recognised as a leader in her field, and has received accolades for expertise by many influential publications, such as Elite Woman in NZ Lawyer’s and Best Lawyers’ annual rankings.
